CWID Spotlight | CDK Stone

Synonymous for elegance, timelessness and the discrete charm of natural stone, CDK Stone has been supplying the Australian market with top-shelf natural stone products since 1982.

Since day one, CDK Stone has time and time again proven to be at the vanguard of R+D, being the largest supplier of raw material block for monumental processing. From your kitchen bench top to the most important desks at Parliament House, CDK Stone is truly a homegrown success story.

With their wide range of natural stone sourced from only the finest quarries around the world, each of their products are unique and individual – the perfect answer to making that bold statement quite unlike any other.

CDK Stone’s exclusive product Neolith is made from natural materials and comes in a huge range of colours and finishes to suit the most demanding applications. From the Spanish manufacturer – The Size – CDK Stone and Neolith celebrate ultra-functionality hand-in-hand with refined aesthetics.

With such an illustrious lineage, Contemporary is excited to announce that CDK Stone is an Official Exhibitor at Contemporary Wine In Design this October 15th.

As part of all the celebration, fun and excitement going down at CWID16, CDK Stone are bringing all the best from Jorgen Hansen’s beautifully realised Neolith display. Known worldwide for its incredible durability and user-friendly larger format (the large sheets sizes are 3200 x 1500 x 12mm), Neolith reduces the amount of wastage and joint lines. In situ, however, home-owners, bar-owners (in fact – the entire hospitality industry!) can’t get enough of Neolith and its scratch-, heat- and stain-resistant properties that allows benchtops to stand the test of time.

Neolith, a brand of all-natural, premium sintered compact surfaces for kitchen and bathroom worktops, flooring, interior wall cladding applications and exterior facades. Neolith provides architects and designers with a comprehensive offering of on-trend designs combined with the inherent strength of sintered compact surfaces.

It has near-zero porosity, making the product hygienic, stain resistant, easy to clean and impervious to chemicals. The product is also wear, scratch, heat resistant and its colours, being natural base, do not vary when exposed to UV rays. Additionally, the product is lightweight and easy to install, making Neolith suitable for virtually every indoor and outdoor surface.

CDK Stone sales manager and Neolith’s Australian supplier, Nathan Karpenko, says that seeing Neolith in the flesh is a crucial aspect of understanding the design possibilities and qualities of the material. “With both natural stone and Neolith it is crucial for the customers to view the slabs in full before making a selection,” explains Nathan. “We are often asked to send out samples of our material, however these can only be used as an indication of the overall material as the samples will not show the full colour variation and movement of each colour.” You definitely do not want to miss out inspecting this beautiful and innovative collection for yourself on October 15th.
